Developer API

Read markets, get quotes and place trades from your own programs, with every request signed by a key only you hold.

What the Developer API is

The Developer API lets a program read Verve's market and account data, ask for quotes and place trades and transfers, without the website. Every request is signed with a key only you hold, so Verve can tell it came from you and that it was not changed on the way.

The programmatic surfaces.
SurfaceWhat it is
Developer APISigned reads, quotes and confirmed intents over HTTPS.
Command-line toolAccount commands for the same things you do on the website, from a terminal.
SDKHelpers for the browser and for programs that sign their own requests, including live WebSocket streams.
MCPTyped tools for AI agents. For apps like Claude or ChatGPT, use Connect your AI.

API keys

Create and manage keys in the Developer Dashboard, in your profile menu. A key is bound to your account, can only be used to sign requests, and can be revoked at any time. Keep the private part secret: anyone with it can act as you through the API.

Reads, quotes and intents

  • Reads: markets, tokens, Pulse and Discover feeds, charts, wallet balances and positions.
  • Quotes: what a swap would return, with no commitment.
  • Intents: a confirmed request to swap or send. Every intent carries an idempotency key, so a retry after a timeout never executes twice.

Fees

API spot trades are tiered between 1.0% and 2.0%, depending on your tier, and are not eligible for cashback. Sends and converts use the same schedule as the website. See Fees.

The same rules as the website

The API is not a way around anything. The terms check, the funds switches, fee and treasury rules, and your wallet's signing permission all apply exactly as they do on the website.
