How cross-chain trading works
Blockchains are separate networks with their own assets, addresses and fees. A token on one chain cannot be spent on another without moving value across, which is why trading on several chains usually means juggling several wallets and balances.

Why chains do not talk to each other
Solana, the EVM chains (BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain, Monad, Arc, HyperEVM) and TON use different account models. Even among EVM chains the same address exists on each, but balances are separate.
Bridging and converting
To move value, a bridge or conversion route takes funds on one chain and delivers an equivalent asset on another. This adds a fee, a delay and an extra step where something can go wrong, so it helps to keep the number of hops small.
How Verve approaches it
Verve keeps the nine chains in one terminal, with a separate wallet per chain that you control. Cross-chain cash is designed as a single USD balance spendable on any chain. A cross-chain cash buy is one 0.9% spot fee, taken in the asset you spend; any third-party route cost is separate and shown before you confirm.
Cross-chain cash is not live yet. Until it is, the cash figure in the app is the sum of your stablecoin wallet balances, and the app says that cash buys are not live.
Do I need a different wallet per chain?
Each chain has its own balances. Verve manages a wallet per chain for you in one interface.
What does a cross-chain cash buy cost?
One 0.9% spot fee, taken in the asset you spend. Provider costs are separate and shown before you confirm. The feature is not live yet.
